Power Mask
AMANDLA
(AMANDLA is a Zulu word for Power).
Power Masks are found, amongst other places, in Zaire. The elongated nose and small mouth are found in Fang
(Gabon) sculpture and the ladder scarifications are from Mossi (Volta).
This mask reminds the wearer of personal power and potential and calls up the energy, focus and deter-mination of achievement.
