MEDITATION MASK
MANAGANO
(MANAGANO is a Tswana word for thinking deeply).
The mask uses the concave form of the classic Mahongwe Mask (People's Republic of the Congo).
The oval shape also relates to carvings of the Makonde (Angola).
The mask suggests in-trospection and meditation.
