CELTIC CROSS
The Celtic mystique, with its emphasis on the OTHERWORLD, is widely quoted but often
little understood.
The Celts were aware of the Sidh, the tall, shining ones, or the opalescent, lit
from within.
This paganism was subsumed in Christianity and the immediacy of the Otherworld
receded.
The Celtic Cross, with its recognisable shaft, arms and ring, is embellished with intricate
decorations which are representations of much older, cruder and very powerful symbols of
basic life forces.
This Cross, like others, has multicultural significance of Protection and Friendship. |
